The View
LOCATION
The Portes du Soleil region is the largest linked ski area in the world, it stretches for 650km from France and into Switzerland. The exciting and bustling resort of Morzine is 5 minutes away, Essert Romand is a peaceful traditional village in an open sunny valley with stunning views. Les Gets is ten minutes and the lifts at Ardent, which give direct access to Avoriaz away from the queues, are only 15 minutes away. The supermarket is 5 minutes away and the charming, but little known resort of St Jean d’Aulps just 5 minutes further. Geneva is an hour and half by road. Non skiers will also find plenty to do, lovely lakeside walks, cleared paths through the forest, snow shoeing, many mountain restaurants are accessible on foot. Wonderful area in the summer too, less crowded, restaurants and lifts still open, mountain walking, swimming, rafting and the town active as ever.
