These two pictures where taken at the beginning of the year, the small resort of St Jean d’Aulps felt it necessary to make snow at the bottom of the mountain and then ferry it on a daily basis by helicopter up to the pistes. Actions undertaken with the best intentions but at great cost financially and to the environment. Too bad it rained so much on New Years Eve and washed it all away!
